Tackling the challenges of 2025

Here at Autofinity, our vision to create one integrated platform with actionable insights will take greater shape this year.

Our ambition is to integrate with all key suppliers, manufacturers and major marketplaces and enable dealers to access, update and compare from one set of dashboards.

We currently integrate with 70+ partners including premium and volume passenger vehicle, motorcycle and LCV brands; a wide range of suppliers such as Keyloop and CitNOW; and online classified marketplaces such as Auto Trader, Motorway and Carwow.

Auto Trader Connect

Already, our ViHUB users can view Auto Trader’s pricing tool from our platform enabling them to see where a vehicle sits in comparison to like-for-like vehicles live on the classified site and adjust their price accordingly without the need to navigate between different tabs. Any new updates that are made via the ViHUB platform, a new price for example, is immediately uploaded to Auto Trader as well as automatically to all other integrated sites such as the dealer and manufacturer websites.

This year as the sector embraces even more AI into daily operations, far from something to be afraid of, it will continue to make the lives of employees easier whilst harnessing and acting on the ever-increasing expanse of data will help streamline processes and boost efficiencies. AI is the cornerstone of our products and it’s already deployed across our platform enabling ViHUB to pool information from multiple sources to create a rich data log of each vehicle in group inventory or, as we like to say, a single view of the truth.

Dealer challenges

With the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) 2025 Outlook Survey highlighting concerns among retailers of both market performance and costs, streamlining of businesses is likely to be a major consideration as the year unfolds. The majority of survey respondents (71%) were ‘pessimistic’ when asked their view on the overall market for the year ahead with just 29% saying they were ‘slightly optimistic’.

Running costs, including business rates and the new employers’ National Insurance rates, was the most important issue facing dealers this year. More than half (52%) said it was their primary concern whilst the ZEV mandate was next on the scale with 31% ranking it as their second choice followed by the charging infrastructure whereby 34% highlighted this as third in their list of concerns.

We’ve covered how our ViHUB platform drives efficiency and frees up employees’ time thereby saving costs previously but with the first month of trading for 2025 now under dealers’ belts, it’s perhaps sensible to draw attention to this area once again. To put it simply, the ability to manage vehicle inventory from source to sale in one place undertakes the heavy lifting leaving employees free to focus on customers.

Our own focus this year is very much geared towards functionality that further improves efficiencies. As such, we expect our ViSOURCE product, which aggregates available stock in the wholesale market enabling used car buyers to view what’s on offer across multiple sites be they auctions, classified sites or in-house, in one place and in one format for easy comparisons, to be a gamechanger.

Revenue booster

Meanwhile, retailers who are looking to boost profits with online parts and accessories sales can do so with PiHUB which automates the entire process. From importing accurate manufacturer data to automating marketplace uploads to the likes of eBay, it means all parts team members need to do is pick, pack and post.
